Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced System Administrator to manage enterprise Microsoft 365 (Global Admin scope), VMware compute environments, and deliver high-quality L2/L3 support to end users and internal teams. The role owns day-to-day administration, reliability, security hygiene, and escalation handling across identity, collaboration, and virtualization platforms.
Key Responsibilities

Microsoft 365 / Office 365 (Global Admin)

Administer and operate Microsoft 365 tenant as Global Admin (or equivalent privileged admin roles with least-privilege practices).

Manage Entra ID (Azure AD): users, groups, roles, Conditional Access, MFA, and SSO integrations.

Administer Exchange Online, Share Point Online, One Drive, and Microsoft Teams.
Handle licensing, mailbox management, distribution lists, shared mailboxes, and retention/compliance policies.
Support device management via Intune / Endpoint Manager where applicable.
Perform tenant health checks, security alerts review, and audit log investigation.

Execute joiner-mover-leaver (JML) processes and privileged access reviews.

VMware - Compute Creation & Management

Create, configure, and manage VMware vSphere / ESXi compute resources (VMs, templates, snapshots, clones).

Manage compute capacity: CPU, memory, storage allocation, and resource pools.

Perform VM lifecycle operations: provisioning, resizing, migration (vMotion), and decommissioning.

Monitor host/cluster health, performance, and availability; remediate compute-related incidents.
Coordinate with storage/network teams for datastore, networking, and backup readiness.

Maintain documentation for VM standards, naming conventions, and build checklists.

L2 / L3 End-User Support
Provide L2 and L3 technical support for Windows endpoints, identity, M365 apps, and virtualization-related user issues.
Troubleshoot complex incidents escalated from L1 (login, mail, Teams, Share Point, VPN, device, profile, and access issues).
Own major incident coordination for identity / collaboration / compute outages until resolution or formal handover.
Maintain SLAs/OLAs; ensure timely updates in ticketing tools (Service Now / Jira / Freshservice, etc.).
Create knowledge base articles and runbooks for recurring issues.

Mentor L1/L2 analysts on troubleshooting standards and escalation quality.

Operations, Security & Governance
Enforce least-privilege access; avoid standing Global Admin usage where PIM / just-in-time access is available.

Support backup/restore validation for critical mailboxes, Share Point sites, and VMs (as per process).

Participate in change management: raise, review, implement, and post-validate changes.

Maintain asset, license, and configuration records with accuracy.

Contribute to DR/BCP readiness for M365 and VMware compute services.

Required Skills & Experience
~6-7 years of hands-on System Administration experience in enterprise environments.

~ Strong experience as Microsoft 365 / Office 365 administrator, including Global Admin (or equivalent highly privileged) responsibilities.
~ Solid working knowledge of VMware for creating and managing compute (vSphere/ESXi/vCenter).
~ Proven L2 and L3 end-user and infrastructure support experience.
~ Strong foundation in Active Directory / Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Windows Server.
~ Experience with ticketing, remote support, and incident/problem/change processes.
~ Good scripting awareness (Power Shell preferred) for automation of repetitive admin tasks.
~ Strong communication skills for user-facing support and stakeholder updates.

~ Ability to work independently on escalations and document root cause clearly.

Preferred / Nice to Have
Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-102, AZ-104, MD-102) and/or VMware VCP / equivalent.
Exposure to Azure IaaS, hybrid identity (AD Connect), and Conditional Access design.
Experience with endpoint security tools (Defender, Crowd Strike, etc.).
Familiarity with backup tools (Veeam / Commvault / similar).
Experience supporting global/offshore delivery or US/EU customer environments.
Basic networking knowledge (VLAN, VPN, firewall rules, proxy).
Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or equivalent practical experience.

Soft Skills
Customer-first mindset with calm handling of priority incidents.
Transparent written and verbal English communication.
Ownership, accountability, and documentation discipline.

Ability to prioritize under SLA pressure and coordinate across teams.
