Shift Ahead requires a capable handson Systems Administrator for its client operations to work independently . Excellent communication is mandatory and immediate joining will be required Experience - 4 to 8 years (hands on experience) US shifts (6:30pm IST onwards) Willing to join immediately Location : Remote Working Department : IT The Systems Administrator will manage and maintain the organization's hybrid cloud infrastructure, seamlessly integrating on-premises systems with Microsoft Office 365, Azure, and Microsoft Defender. This role includes managing multiple tenants to ensure smooth operation and security across all environments, understanding and optimizing various billing plans to manage and reduce costs, handling tickets and documentation, and providing Tier 3 support The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of hybrid cloud systems, strong organizational skills, and the ability to provide high-level technical support and solutions while effectively communicating and collaborating with team members. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working in middle to large enterprise environments Microsoft 365 (Office 365) Administration Administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, and related applications Provision accounts and manage licenses and group membership Configure and enforce Microsoft 365 security settings and policie Provide remote administration for Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and on-prem Active Directory/Azure AD (as applicable) Design and maintain core components (virtual networks, virtual machines, storage, and identity integrations Track performance and utilization; Microsoft Defender Configure and maintain Microsoft Defender for endpoint protectio Perform vulnerability reviews and coordinate remediation with IT and business stakeholder Minimize downtime and data loss; Migrate mailboxes, shared mailboxes, public folders,



and related user configurations SharePoint Administration Build and administer SharePoint Online sites, information architecture, and permissions/access control Resolve SharePoint incidents and service requests; Hybrid Environment Management Operate and improve hybrid connectivity between on-premises systems and Microsoft cloud services Maintain secure communication and data flow across on-prem and cloud platforms Manage and validate Microsoft 365 and Azure licensing/billing plan Maintain clear, accurate documentation for changes, incidents, procedures, and configuration Jira experience is preferred but not require Handle escalated (Tier 3) requests and complex troubleshooting across the Microsoft stack Own assigned tickets through resolution, including root-cause analysis and prevention recommendations Maintain system documentation, standards, and IT policies Provide technical guidance and occasional training to end users and Tier 1/2 staff Partner with IT peers to solve cross-functional issues and deliver improvements Participate in on-call rotations and respond to priority incident Keep current on cloud and security capabilities; Maintain system documentation and IT policies Provide technical support and training to end-user Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies as needed Keep abreast of the latest developments in cloud technology and recommend improvements Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience Preferred skilled certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate Microsoft 365 Certified preferred Microsoft Certified: Exchange Online or SharePoint Online certification preferred Proven experience with O365, Azure, Microsoft Defender, and email migration processes Strong understanding of cloud security best practice Strong English communication and interpersonal skills Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell # Familiarity with other cloud platforms and services # Knowledge of network administration and troubleshooting
