Position Overview

As a Barista, you will be the face of our cafe. You'll prepare high-quality specialty coffee and beverages, maintain a clean and inviting environment, and provide outstanding customer service. Whether brewing espresso or chatting with our regulars, your goal is to make every customer's visit memorable.

Key Responsibilities

- Beverage & Food Preparation:
- Dial in espresso daily and prepare a full menu of espresso drinks, drip coffee, teas, and specialty beverages to exact standards.
- Execute latte art consistent with high quality control standards.
- Serve pastries, light food items, and snacks while adhering to food safety guidelines.

Customer Service:

- Welcome guests warmly, take orders accurately, and process payments efficiently using the POS system.
- Engage with customers, answer questions about menu offerings, and offer recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Resolve customer feedback or complaints with a positive, professional attitude.

Cleanliness & Maintenance:

- Maintain clean work stations, customer seating areas, condiment bars, and restrooms throughout the shift.
- Perform daily, weekly,



and monthly deep cleaning and maintenance routines for coffee equipment (espresso machine, grinders, brewers).
- Follow all local health and sanitation regulations.

Inventory & Teamwork:

- Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and packaging supplies, reporting low inventory to the manager.
- Restock front-of-house supplies and assist with receiving deliveries.
- Collaborate closely with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak rush hours.Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: Prior experience as a barista in a specialty coffee setting preferred, but candidates with solid hospitality/retail backgrounds and a passion for coffee are encouraged to apply.

Knowledge: Understanding of coffee extraction, milk steaming techniques, and beverage recipes (or willingness to learn rapidly).

Skills: Excellent communication, cash-handling ability, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.

Attributes: Reliable, punctual, team-oriented, and naturally customer-focused with high attention to detail.

Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly, and lift up to 15–20 kg (e.g., milk crates, coffee sacks).

Flexibility: Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed by business demands.
