Staff Nurse – Accident & Emergency Department

Job Summary

AMC Super Specialty Hospital, Tirupur, is looking for dedicated and clinically competent Staff Nurses to join our Accident & Emergency (A&E;) Department and ICU.

The ideal candidate should be confident in handling emergency situations, providing prompt nursing care, monitoring critically ill patients, and working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary emergency-care team.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide prompt and compassionate nursing care to patients presenting to the Accident & Emergency Department.
- Perform initial nursing assessment and monitor vital signs and clinical condition.
- Assist doctors during emergency procedures, resuscitation and other interventions.
- Provide appropriate nursing care to trauma, medical and surgical emergency patients.
- Administer medications, IV fluids and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist in emergency procedures and maintain readiness of emergency equipment.
- Support CPR and resuscitation activities when required.
- Monitor patients closely and promptly report any deterioration in their condition.
- Maintain accurate nursing notes, patient records, medication charts and other clinical documentation.
- Ensure proper handover of patients between shifts.
- Follow infection-control, patient-safety and hospital protocols.
- Coordinate effectively with emergency physicians, specialists, technicians and other hospital departments.
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients and their attendants.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional nursing ethics.
- Be willing to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts, weekends and holidays.

Eligibility & Requirements

Mandatory:

- B. Sc Accident and Emergency Care Technology (AECT) / B. Sc Critical Care Technology (CCT) / B.Sc Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing / GNM qualification from a recognized institution.




- Valid registration with the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council is mandatory.
- Candidates without valid Tamil Nadu Nursing Council registration/license will not be considered.
- Candidates must be willing to relocate to Tirupur, Tamil Nadu.

Preferred:

- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Experience in Accident & Emergency, Emergency Medicine, ICU, Trauma or Critical Care will be an advantage.
- Good clinical assessment and emergency-handling skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
