Tourism Counsellor
Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly, knowledgeable, and customer-focused Tourism Counsellor to assist clients in planning and booking their holidays and travel experiences. The role involves understanding customers’ travel preferences, recommending suitable destinations and packages, providing accurate travel information, and ensuring a smooth booking experience from enquiry to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand customers’ travel requirements, preferences, budgets, and expectations.
- Provide counselling and guidance on domestic and international travel destinations.
- Recommend suitable tour packages, itineraries, hotels, transportation, and activities.
- Handle customer enquiries through phone, email, WhatsApp, and in-person interactions.
- Prepare customized travel itineraries and quotations based on customer requirements.
- Explain package inclusions, exclusions, pricing, cancellation policies, and travel conditions.
- Coordinate flight, hotel, visa, transportation, sightseeing, and other travel arrangements.
- Follow up with leads and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.
- Maintain accurate customer records and booking details.
- Coordinate with hotels, airlines, tour operators, and other travel partners.
- Resolve customer concerns and provide timely assistance before, during, and after travel.
- Stay updated on destinations,
travel trends, tourism products, and promotional offers.
- Achieve individual and team sales targets where applicable.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and build long-term client relationships.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Tourism, Travel & Tourism Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in tourism, travel consultancy, ticketing, tour operations, or customer service is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong destination knowledge and interest in travel and tourism.
- Good sales, negotiation, and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to create travel itineraries and quotations.
- Good computer skills and familiarity with MS Office and travel booking systems.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional regional languages is an advantage.

- Number of enquiries handled.
- Lead-to-booking conversion rate.
- Sales and revenue generated.
- Customer satisfaction and repeat bookings.
- Follow-up effectiveness.
- Accuracy and timely completion of bookings.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
