Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Garment Cutting Master with strong expertise in school, college and institutional uniform cutting. The candidate should be highly skilled in fabric cutting, marker planning, pattern handling, fabric utilization and maintaining accurate measurements.

Experience in hosiery/knitted garment cutting is also required, particularly for T-shirts, tracksuits, hoodies, sweatshirts and other sportswear.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle complete cutting operations for school, college and institutional uniforms.
- Accurately cut fabrics according to approved patterns, measurements and size sets.
- Prepare and check markers, lays and fabric spreading for optimum fabric utilization.
- Ensure accurate cutting of multiple sizes and styles with minimum wastage.
- Understand and work with different fabrics including cotton, polyester, TC, PC, suiting, shirting, fleece and knitted/hosiery fabrics.
- Independently handle hosiery/knit cutting for:
- T-Shirts
- Tracksuits
- Hoodies
- Sweatshirts
- Sportswear
- Track pants and lowers
- Understand fabric stretch, grain, shrinkage and GSM while planning the lay and cutting.
- Check patterns and measurements before cutting and identify discrepancies.




- Maintain proper size-wise bundling and numbering after cutting.
- Coordinate with the production, stitching and sampling teams to ensure smooth production.
- Minimize fabric wastage while maintaining cutting accuracy and garment quality.
- Train and supervise cutting helpers/operators when required.
- Maintain cutting discipline, productivity and quality standards.

Required Skills & Expertise

- Strong knowledge of uniform garment construction and cutting.
- Excellent understanding of patterns, measurements, grading and marker making.
- Practical experience with both woven and knitted/hosiery fabrics.
- Good knowledge of fabric behavior, stretch and shrinkage.
- Ability to independently manage cutting according to production requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and measurement accuracy.
- Ability to work under production deadlines.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in school uniform manufacturing, institutional uniforms, sportswear and hosiery garments will be given preference.
