An Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) Operator at Torrent Pharmaceuticals is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the wastewater treatment facilities to ensure full compliance with environmental regulations (such as CPCB/SPCB guidelines) and internal EHS (Setting, Health, and Safety) standards.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Plant Operations: Operate and monitor biological, chemical, and physical effluent treatment processes (e.g., aeration tanks, settling tanks, zero liquid discharge / ZLD units, reverse osmosis, evaporators).
- Process Monitoring & Testing: Perform routine chemical testing of effluent parameters such as pH, COD, BOD, TDS, TSS, and MLSS to ensure treatment efficiency within prescribed limits.
- Equipment Maintenance: Execute preventive maintenance, routine checks, and basic troubleshooting of pumps, blowers, stirrers, dosing systems, and pipelines.
- Chemical Dosing & Handling: Safely handle, prepare, and dose water treatment chemicals (coagulants,



flocculants, neutralizing agents, anti-foaming agents).
- Documentation & Log Keeping: Maintain daily operational logbooks, chemical consumption records, analytical test reports, and compliance documentation required for audits (GMP / ISO 14001 / SPCB).
- Sludge Management: Manage dewatering systems (filter press, centrifuges) and ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous sludge according to hazardous waste management rules.
- Compliance & EHS: Strictly follow safety protocols, wear required PPE, and assist during internal and external environmental audits.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
