Lab Technician – Teaching

To provide technical support for undergraduate teaching, practical classes, demonstrations, and examinations, ensuring that specimens, equipment, models, reagents, and other teaching materials are properly prepared and maintained.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare the teaching laboratory before MBBS practical and demonstration classes.
- Arrange specimens, slides, models, instruments, charts, reagents, and other teaching materials as instructed by faculty.
- Assist faculty members during MBBS practical classes, demonstrations, tutorials, and examinations.
- Help students with the proper handling and use of laboratory equipment under faculty supervision.
- Prepare and maintain practical materials required for OSPE/OSCE and internal/university examinations, where applicable.
- Maintain and preserve teaching specimens, slides, models, and laboratory equipment.
- Assist in preparation of reagents, solutions, stains, and other materials required for practical teaching.
- Ensure proper functioning, cleaning, and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain laboratory stock, equipment, specimen, and practical-class registers.
- Monitor availability of consumables and inform the faculty/HOD about shortages.
- Follow laboratory safety,



infection-control, and biomedical waste-management procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the teaching laboratory.
- Assist faculty in undergraduate academic activities, practical demonstrations, and student projects as required.
- Ensure that all laboratory materials are safely stored after practical sessions.
- Perform other duties assigned by the HOD or authorized faculty member.

Qualification

- B.Sc./Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or relevant laboratory/medical science qualification,
- Experience in a Medical College/Teaching Hospital
- Freshers with relevant qualifications may be considered.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
