Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Design Engineer to support the Design & Development team in preparing engineering drawings, 2D/3D models, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation. The candidate will work closely with Senior Design Engineers and the Production team to ensure designs are suitable for manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare 2D drawings and basic 3D models as per customer requirements and instructions from senior engineers.
- Read and understand customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
- Assist in preparing fabrication, part, and assembly drawings.
- Prepare and update BOM (Bill of Materials) and material requirements.
- Support design activities related to sheet metal, fabrication, laser cutting, CNC bending, and welding.
- Make drawing modifications as instructed by the Senior Design Engineer.
- Ensure drawings contain correct dimensions, tolerances, material specifications, and welding details.
- Coordinate with Production, PPC, Quality, Purchase, and Stores for design-related requirements.
- Support the Production team in resolving basic drawing and technical issues.
- Visit the shop floor to understand manufacturing processes and practical design requirements.




- Maintain proper drawing revisions and engineering documents.
- Assist in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and identify opportunities for design improvement.
- Support new product development activities.
- Follow company drawing standards, procedures, and documentation practices.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of any 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or CATIA.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and basic GD&T;.
- Basic knowledge of sheet metal and fabrication processes.
- Understanding of laser cutting, CNC bending, welding, and fabrication will be an advantage.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to learn and work closely with the shop floor and production team.
- Good attention to detail.

Educational Qualification

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.

Experience

2–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, fabrication, sheet metal, or engineering manufacturing.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
