Primary Social Science Teacher – Job Description

Plan and deliver engaging Social Science lessons for primary students using age-appropriate and activity-based teaching methods.

Teach foundational concepts of History, Geography, Civics, Environmental Studies, and General Awareness.

Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, classroom activities, projects, and assessments aligned with NCERT/CBSE learning outcomes.

Use stories, maps, pictures, videos, role plays, discussions, and real-life examples to make Social Science interactive and meaningful.

Develop students’ critical thinking, observation, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Integrate NEP 2020, competency-based learning, experiential learning, and basic computational thinking/AI awareness where appropriate.

Conduct formative and summative assessments and maintain accurate records of student progress.





Provide individual support and differentiated learning strategies for students with different learning needs.

Organize quizzes, group activities, celebrations, projects, and other co-curricular activities related to Social Science.

Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom setting.

Communicate regularly with parents regarding students’ academic progress, participation, and areas for improvement.

Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership in curriculum planning and school activities.

Encourage students to understand society, culture, citizenship, diversity, environment, and current affairs through practical examples.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹33,477.59 per month
