Job Purpose

The Solution Engineer will design, cost, and execute technical solutions for facility utilities, HVAC, thermal, and fluid systems. This role bridges customer requirements with engineering execution by developing detailed technical proposals, preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), selecting core equipment, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Engineering Sizing

- Perform thermal, fluid, and pressure-drop calculations to size equipment, piping, pumps, chillers, and cooling towers.
- Design and evaluate support structures, skids, and facility layouts for chilled water, cooling water, fuel, and HVAC systems.
- Use 2D/3D drafting tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp) to prepare process flow diagrams, P&IDs;, and layout schemes.

Proposal Development & Costing

- Analyze customer RFQs, tender specifications, and technical scope requirements.
- Develop detailed Bills of Materials (BOM) and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) along with line-item cost estimates.
- Prepare comprehensive technical proposals, bidding documents, and value-engineered alternatives.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management





- Interface with suppliers to evaluate component options, obtain commercial offers, and assist in technical negotiations.
- Conduct site visits to assess customer facilities, gather field data, and attend pre-bid technical clarification meetings.
- Coordinate with internal engineering, sales, procurement, and project execution teams to deliver viable solutions.

Qualifications & Prerequisites

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in facility solution engineering, utility sales support, or thermal/fluid system design.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Core Technical: Strong grasp of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, psychrometrics, pump selection, and pipe sizing.
- Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D Drafting) and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Experience with SolidWorks or SketchUp is a plus.
- Commercial Acumen: Understanding of BOQ/BOM preparation, vendor negotiation, and cost optimization strategies.
- Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to present technical solutions to client stakeholders.
- Attributes: Self-driven, collaborative, detail-oriented, and customer-focused.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
