- Schedule Creation: Build detailed project timelines using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Work Breakdown: Divide the civil scope into logical phases like excavation, foundation, and structural work.
- Critical Path Method (CPM): Map task dependencies to find the core sequence that dictates the project end date.
- Baseline Approval: Submit initial schedules and S-curves to clients for formal sign-off
- Site Tracking: Measure daily or weekly site performance against the approved baseline.
- Variance Analysis: Spot delays early and build recovery schedules to get back on track.
- Progress Reporting: Issue routine status updates, histograms,



and productivity logs for project leaders.
- Resource Allocation: Plan labor, material delivery, and heavy equipment needs.
- Cost Tracking: Link budget figures to schedule tasks to monitor cash flow.
- Procurement Alignment: Coordinate with supply chains so long-lead items arrive before work begins
- Risk Mitigation: Find potential bottlenecks like weather issues or permit holdups and prepare backups.
