Description

The SAM Analyst, Infrastructure and Virtualisation is responsible for software asset management activities relating to infrastructure, virtualisation, and selected network and security software domains. The role supports licence compliance, entitlement reconciliation, renewal readiness, and optimisation across complex infrastructure licensing models.

Key Responsibilities

- Track and manage licensing for VMware, Broadcom, ESXi, and VDI-related environments.

- Maintain licensing oversight for infrastructure software and associated entitlement records.

- Support renewal management activity for Cisco, Checkpoint, F5, and other in-scope infrastructure vendors.

- Maintain oversight of DollarUniverse licensing and related compliance data.

- Track AppDynamics and UIPath wind-down activity, including deployment reduction and associated licence reclamation opportunities.

- Reconcile infrastructure deployment data against contractual entitlements and licence metrics.

- Support monthly ELP reporting and weekly reconciliation for high-risk vendors, particularly VMware/Broadcom.

- Monitor complex infrastructure licence models, including virtual machine, processor, core, and hardware-linked metrics where applicable.





- Identify compliance risks, over-licensing, under-utilisation, and renewal optimisation opportunities.

- Contribute to high-risk vendor audit readiness through maintenance of evidence packs and supporting records.

- Provide inputs into scenario planning where licensing metrics or vendor models are changing.

Key Requirements

- Experience in software asset management, licence administration, or infrastructure licensing

- Good understanding of VMware/Broadcom and virtualisation licensing concepts

- Familiarity with infrastructure, network, and security software vendors

- Experience with reconciliation of deployment data against entitlement records

- Robust analytical capability and attention to detail

- Ability to interpret changing licensing models and assess compliance impact
