Role Description The Cashier role is a full time, on-site position based in Dehradun. The cashier is responsible for operating the point-of-sale system, processing cash, card, and digital payments accurately, and issuing receipts. Daily tasks include greeting customers, responding to basic inquiries, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience. The role also involves handling returns and exchanges according to store policies, balancing the cash drawer at the end of shifts, and reporting discrepancies promptly.



The cashier helps maintain a clean and orderly checkout area, restocks small items near the counter, and collaborates with other team members to support overall store operations.
Qualifications

- Ability to handle cash, card, and digital transactions accurately and responsibly, with strong basic math skills.
- Clear and courteous communication skills, with a customer-focused mindset and the ability to manage queues calmly.
- Attention to detail in verifying prices, discounts, and receipts, and in following store policies and procedures.
- Reliability in timekeeping, willingness to work retail hours (including weekends and holidays), and readiness to stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer and POS system familiarity, with the ability to learn new retail software quickly.
- Prior experience in retail or customer service is beneficial but not required; training will be provided.
