Network Engineer JD – L2L2 engineers handle more complex issues and are responsible for configuring and optimizing network systems. They act as a bridge between support and design/architecture teams.Responsibilities:Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents that L1 cannot handleConfigure switches, routers, and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)Analyze logs and traffic patterns to diagnose network bottlenecksSupport VPN, VLANs, wireless networks, and site-to-site connectivityImplement routine changes and upgrades to network systemsMaintain network diagrams and update technical documentationSkills Required:In-depth knowledge of network protocols and device configurationExperience with Cisco IOS, Juniper OS, and firewall rulesAbility to analyze and interpret logs, packet captures, and monitoring dataCertifications like CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent
