Position Overview

The Senior MDM Developer is a hands-on technical expert who designs and builds complex MDM solutions across multiple domains. This role serves as the go-to problem solver for the most challenging platform issues, mentors other developers, and drives design decisions in collaboration with the MDM Architect. Operates with minimal oversight and independently owns large features from design through production support under the “you build it, you support it” model.

Platform Development & Enhancement

- Design and build complex MDM capabilities across customer, supplier, contact, and item domains

- Architect match/merge/survivorship rules for complex multi-source scenarios

- Design hierarchy management solutions and complex relationship models

- Design and implement stewardship workflows for complex business processes

- Design and implement region-specific data models, validation rules, and conditional business logic within a unified hub (e.g., different required attributes, approval routing, and downstream distribution by geography)

- Design and configure custom data entry/stewardship UI experiences including field-level validation, conditional form logic, and role-based screen layouts

- Lead data modeling decisions for recent domain onboarding

- Lead large-scale data migrations, bulk operations, and data reconciliation across systems

- Identify and drive platform enhancements to improve stability and efficiency

- Drive design discussions with the MDM Architect and propose solution alternatives

Platform Modernization

- Evaluate target platform capabilities against current-state requirements; identify gaps requiring custom development vs. OOTB configuration

- Contribute to platform modernization planning and phased execution strategy

- Design and validate data mapping between current and target platform configurations

- Ensure feature parity and regression testing throughout modernization phases

Production Support, Troubleshooting & Incident Resolution

- Own production support for complex features you designed and built





- Triage and resolve the most complex data issues spanning multiple systems (MDM, ERP, CRM, data lake)

- Collaborate on end-to-end request lifecycle visibility — from MDM request creation through approval, data egress, integration execution, and ERP availability

- Perform deep log analysis across application, database, and integration layers to isolate root cause

- Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and implement permanent fixes

- Debug complex data flows end-to-end: source extraction, transformation, matching, merge, and publish

- Resolve complex defects involving race conditions, data conflicts, and edge cases in match/merge logic

- Handle complex data reconciliation and synchronization issues across MDM, ERP, data lake, and downstream systems

- Collaborate with data lake, ERP, CRM, and integration teams to resolve cross-system data issues

- Mentor other developers on troubleshooting techniques and incident resolution patterns

Testing & Quality

- Design complex testing scenarios spanning multiple systems and data flows

- Lead system integration testing for cross-domain and cross-system changes

- Conduct code reviews for other developers and enforce quality standards

- Debug, refactor, and rewrite code to improve performance and maintainability

- Drive technical debt reduction initiatives

- Design and maintain CI/CD pipeline configurations for MDM deployments

- Conduct post-production validation for complex releases; plan and execute rollbacks when needed

- Conduct DR (Disaster Recovery) testing for MDM platform components

Security & Compliance

- Deep knowledge of data security, information security practices,



and SOX compliance requirements for MDM platform changes

Required Qualifications

- 8+ years hands-on MDM platform experience (e.g., Informatica MDM, Reltio, SAP MDM, Semarchy, Profisee)

- 8+ years advanced SQL experience — complex queries, performance tuning, stored procedures, data analysis (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)

- 6+ years hands-on coding — write, debug, refactor, and rewrite complex code (e.g., Java, Python, PL/SQL, shell scripting)

- 5+ years experience with match/merge, survivorship, hierarchy management, and stewardship workflows

- 5+ years experience with data migrations, bulk operations, and data reconciliation in MDM environments

- 4+ years experience with data mapping and integration tools (e.g., Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, Talend, MuleSoft)

- 4+ years experience with CI/CD tools and deployment automation (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Ansible)

- 3+ years experience with log analysis and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack, Datadog, CloudWatch)

- 3+ years experience with incident management and SLA-driven support using ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)

- Experience designing solutions for multi-domain MDM (customer, supplier, contact, item)

- Deep knowledge of full SDLC: requirements, design, development, testing (unit, SIT, UAT, non-functional), CI/CD, change management, release management, DR testing

Preferred Qualifications

- Multi-domain MDM experience (customer, supplier, contact, item)

- Manufacturing industry experience across multiple countries

- Informatica MDM or Reltio platform experience

- Experience with event-driven architecture and API-first patterns (e.g., Kafka, REST, webhooks)

- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts for data matching and deduplication

- Experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j)

- Experience with BPM/workflow platforms (e.g., Camunda, Appian)

- Experience collaborating with data lake, analytics, and ERP teams on cross-system data flows

- Agile/Scrum delivery experience
