Simulation Data Management and Software Provider is Looking for:

Your Responsibilities

- Providing first- and second-level support for IT-related issues to end users for hardware,

software, and system-related issues

- Troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues on Linux and Windows devices.
- Administration and maintenance of the company's internal IT infrastructure

(networks, workstations, peripheral devices and related systems)

- Installing, configuring, and updating hardware and software across Linux and Windows systems

using automation and configuration-management tools such as Puppet

- Support the implementation and maintenance of IT security measures across systems and

networks, including antivirus, backups and recovery processes

- Ensure appropriate access to systems and resources in accordance with company policies

and requirements

- Managing user accounts, access rights and permissions using OpenLDAP
- Writing automation scripts using Bash and Python for system administration and automation tasks
- Assisting and closely collaborating with our IT Administrator and technical colleagues in Germany
- Maintain explicit and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, configurations, processes,





troubleshooting approaches, and solutions to recurring IT-related issues

- Supporting with onboarding and offboarding activities and tasks from an IT access perspective
- Supporting client-facing teams in technical activities as required like technical meetings and

Technical Requirements

- Must-Have Skills

› Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification

› At least 5 years of experience as an IT Administrator, System Administrator or in a similar role

› Strong practical knowledge and hands-on experience with both Linux and Windows

operating systems

› Good knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing and firewalls

› Experience with containerization technologies and tools such as Docker

› Familiarity with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or similar

› Programming skills in Python and Bash for automation and deployment tasks

› Hands on experience of working with OpenLDAP and Puppet

› Experience with version control systems, particularly Git

- Desirable Skills

› Hands-on experience with one or more major cloud providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure,

Google Cloud Platform)

› Experience with Helm for managing Kubernetes deployments and creating Helm Charts

› Knowledge of Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure

› Familiarity with the AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK)





› Experience with PostgreSQL as a relational database management system

- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks
- Excellent written and spoken English
