What you’ll do:

Brief description of the role-

As a DevOps Engineer at Regnology, you will join the OneSumX Regulatory Engine team — the Report Generator platform that banks and insurers use for regulatory reporting. You will work on this project across the entire SDLC, from developing and enabling development pipelines to deploying and incident investigations for production environments.

Your main outputs are reliable application environments on Regnology Cloud (Google Kubernetes Engine in Google Cloud),



faster incident recovery on container issue, and clear runbooks so the team can diagnose issues. You will primarily work with GKE in Google Cloud, MSSQL Server (Cloud SQL), Identity providers ( like Okta), persistent volumes, Helm-based instance lifecycle, and Jenkins.

. Your key accountabilities are:

- Own the application container path: image build and rollout of app versions onto Rcloud / GKE.

- Operate and recover application Kubernetes instances, work with the project team, and support on setting issues

- Diagnose container failures and put in place prevention mechanisms: broken nodes, volume attachment, image pull

- Partner with Rcloud / platform teams when the instance lifecycle is stuck

- Build and maintain observability and recovery playbooks.

- Improve and maintain CI/CD and environment automation

- Use AI coding agents and MCP tooling (prompting, repo skills, Jira/Rcloud/Jenkins integrations) to speed diagnosis, runbooks, and operational changes — with human approval for production impact.

- Coach the development teams in their day to day work by optimizing the infrastructure and tooling they use, solving operational problems, continuously looking for efficiencies & improvements.

- Document what you learn so the next incident is shorter than the last.

- 6+ years of experience in DevOps

- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.





- Change mindset and being proactive

- Excellent knowledge of GKE and Docker

- Knowledge of Google Cloud ( or AWS with transition to Google )

- Ability to develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders

- Experience with Microsoft SQLServer and investigating performance issues

- Experience with Jenkins and Maven

- Knowledge of PowerShell and Linux-based shells (bash, shell)

- Fluent in English

- Familiarity with AI concepts and its potential application in a business setting
