JOB DESCRIPTION Accounts Executive Department Finance & Accounts Reports to Finance Manager / CFO Employment type Full-time Location Thane, Mumbai Experience 3–6 years Joining [Immediate / 30 days] Position Summary The Accountant will own core accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR) and management information system (MIS) activities. The role calls for a detail-oriented professional who can process transactions accurately, follow up confidently with internal and external stakeholders, and convert accounting data into useful management reports. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in a quick-moving manufacturing environment with multiple vendors, customers, inventories and cost centres. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable (AP) Verify purchase invoices, goods receipt / service confirmations, purchase orders and approvals before booking. Create and maintain vendor masters; ensure GST/TDS and bank details are complete and correctly recorded. Book purchase, expense, freight, utility and service invoices in Tally with accurate ledgers, cost centres and tax treatment. Prepare vendor ageing, payment proposals and payment-support schedules; coordinate timely payments after approval. Reconcile vendor statements, resolve debit/credit notes and investigate unmatched items or duplicate invoices. Maintain complete, retrievable AP documentation and support statutory, internal and external audit requirements. Accounts Receivable (AR) Raise customer invoices, e-invoices / e-way bills where applicable, credit notes and debit notes with required documentation. Maintain customer masters, credit terms and receivable ledgers; ensure sales entries tie to dispatch and commercial records. Track collections against due dates,
circulate receivables ageing and follow up professionally with customers and sales teams. Post receipts, allocate collections correctly and reconcile customer accounts, bank credits and remittance advice. Escalate overdue balances, disputes, deductions and credit-limit exceptions with clear supporting details. Assist with monthly revenue cut-off, receivable confirmation and bad-debt / provision inputs as directed. MIS, Reconciliations & Month-End Prepare collections, payable due and bank-position reports for management. Produce monthly MIS covering sales, gross margin, operating expenses, receivables, payables, cash flow and working capital. Perform timely bank, vendor, customer, GST and key ledger reconciliations; resolve exceptions with documented follow-through. Support month-end closing through accruals, prepaid expenses, provisions, fixed-asset entries and ledger scrutiny. Assist with inventory / consumption reporting, job or product cost support and variance analysis in coordination with operations. Maintain data accuracy, version control and confidentiality across reports, reconciliations and finance records. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance; CA Inter / CMA Inter / equivalent is an advantage. 3–6 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, assembly, trading or a process-driven SME. Working understanding of Indian accounting practices, GST, TDS, invoice compliance and basic month-end controls. Experience managing both AP and AR cycles independently, including reconciliations and stakeholder follow-up. High integrity, strong attention to detail and ability to meet recurring reporting deadlines.
