About The Role: We are seeking a Senior Data Architect & Technical Lead to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale data platforms and solutions. This role will drive data architecture, modeling, governance, migration, modernization, and engineering practices while leading cross-functional teams and ensuring scalable, secure, compliant solutions aligned with business needs. Experience delivering data solutions in insurance or financial services is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the enterprise data architecture vision end-to-end — ingestion through consumption — acting as technical authority for design reviews, mentoring engineering teams, and recommending tools for platform modernization.
- Design and maintain data models from conceptual to physical, and architect modern platforms (data lakes, warehouses, lakehouse), owning canonical models, reference data, and enterprise metadata.
- Oversee data analysis, profiling, and lifecycle management — quality, retention, lineage, auditability — and define enterprise data management standards.
- Build data governance frameworks covering quality, MDM, security, and privacy; partner with risk and compliance teams on regulatory adherence (BCBS 239, GDPR, PCI); implement cataloging and lineage.
- Lead large-scale migration from legacy systems to modern cloud platforms; drive ETL-to-ELT and lakehouse modernization; establish CI/CD and orchestration for data pipelines.
- Deliver data products for customer 360, AML/KYC, credit scoring, and regulatory reporting, translating business requirements from SMEs into solutions aligned with financial services standards.
- Architect distributed and real-time streaming pipelines, design secure and cost-efficient cloud architectures, and enable advanced analytics and ML workflows.

What We're Looking For?

Technical Experience

- 10+ years in Data Architecture,



with 8+ years specifically in Data Engineering and Architecture roles.
- Proven senior or technical lead experience driving enterprise-scale data platforms.
- Deep expertise in data architecture, design, and modelling (3NF, Dimensional, Data Vault), ETL/ELT frameworks, distributed processing, and real-time/event-driven architectures.
- Strong hands-on programming with Python and distributed processing frameworks.
- Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka or equivalent).
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native data services on one or more major platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong exposure to data governance, metadata management, data quality, and lineage solutions.

Domain Expertise

- Strong understanding of insurance / financial services data across operational and analytical domains.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks impacting data architecture and management.

Leadership & Collaboration

- Proven ability to lead and mentor cross-functional engineering and architecture teams.
- Strong stakeholder management, able to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and decision-making capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

- Cloud architecture or data analytics certifications from leading cloud providers.
- Experience supporting machine learning data pipelines or MLOps initiatives.
- Familiarity with Data Mesh or domain-driven data product architectures.
