Position: STP & ETP Supervisor

Department: Operation and Maintenance

About The Role

The STP & ETP Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operation and
maintenance of the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)
to ensure efficient treatment of wastewater and compliance with environmental regulations.
The role involves supervising plant operators, monitoring treatment processes, coordinating
preventive and breakdown maintenance, maintaining operational records, and ensuring the
treated water meets the required quality standards.
The supervisor is also responsible for ensuring proper chemical dosing, equipment
reliability, workplace safety, and good housekeeping. Working closely with the
maintenance, production, laboratory, and environmental teams, the supervisor identifies
operational issues, implements corrective actions, and supports statutory inspections and
environmental audits. This role plays a critical part in protecting the environment,
optimizing plant performance, and ensuring uninterrupted plant operations.
Purpose: To supervise the day-to-day operation, maintenance,



and performance of the
STP and ETP, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimum treatment efficiency,
equipment reliability, environmental protection, and protected working practices through
effective process control, manpower management, and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Knowledge of STP/ETP treatment processes (Activated Sludge Process, SBR, MBBR,
MBR, Physio-Chemical Treatment, DAF, RO, UF, etc.)
Understanding of environmental regulations and pollution control requirements
Equipment troubleshooting and maintenance coordination
Leadership and manpower management
Process optimization and problem-solving
Safety and chemical handling practices

Required Qualifications

B.Sc./M.Sc. in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, micro biology, or
related field.
Knowledge of STP/ETP/RO/ZLD plant
Experience
