Job Title: Design & Development Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Design & Development Engineer with 3-5

years of experience in product design, engineering development, and technical problem-

solving. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, validating, and

improving mechanical products/components while ensuring quality, cost, and performance

objectives are achieved.

Key Preference Machine tool Industry, Automation, Rotating equipment design

experience.

Experience 3 to 5 years

Preferred Skills

Experience in Design and Development of machine tool components, rotating

equipment, spindles, precision assemblies, or industrial products, Automation.

Knowledge of design validation methodologies and root cause analysis tools.

Understanding of Manufacturing Processes, Metal Cutting Machine, FEA and

simulation tools.

Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

Develop and modify mechanical designs based on customer and business requirements.

Create 3D models, 2D drawings, assemblies, and manufacturing documentation using CAD

tools.

Perform engineering calculations, tolerance stack-up analysis, and design validations.





Support new product development (NPD) activities from concept to production release.

Conduct design reviews and implement improvements based on feedback.

Product Validation & Testing

Plan and execute design verification and validation activities.

Analyse test results and recommend design improvements.

Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of product performance issues.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Project teams.

Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for component development and technical

clarifications.

Participate in customer discussions to understand technical requirements.

Identify opportunities for product cost reduction and performance enhancement.

Drive engineering change management activities.

Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and internal processes.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.

3-5 years of experience in Design & Development.

Experience in Machine Tool industry, Metal Cutting, Automation, product design, engineering

calculations, and technical documentation.

Proficiency in CAD software AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor

Good understanding of GD& T, DFMEA, tolerance analysis, and manufacturing processes.

Knowledge of engineering drawings and international standards.
