Project-based across India (Pan-India travel required) Role & responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Measurement & Quantification • Quantification and measurement of all works from AutoCAD / GFC drawings with on-site verification. • Carry out JMR (Joint Measurement Records) for hidden works, ensuring verification and sign-off during execution. • Verification of site measurements against BOQ and issued drawings; identifying and escalating deviations. • Verification of top-10 value materials before indent approval. • Assess and validate quantity of specialized vendor-supplied materials for certification. Billing & Commercial Documentation • Preparation of measurement sheets, Running Account (RA) bills, and Final Bills in prescribed formats. • Coordinating with clients, PMC, and consultant QS teams for bill verification and approval. • Compiling all supporting documentation required for bill certification per client requirements. • Scrutinising and certifying subcontractor bills in alignment with site progress and part-rate percentage norms. • Monthly reconciliation of quantities billed vs. materials used and expenses incurred. • Understanding and executing billing as per Work Order payment terms. • Updating contractor RA bills and NT items in FMS (AIPL system). Variation & Extra Items • Identifying non-tendered (extra / NT) items on site; preparing detailed rate analyses and BOQ with specifications. • Coordinating with Project Lead (PL) and Cost Team (CT) for NT item validation and approval. • GFC drawing vs. tender drawing verification identifying and documenting variations and change orders. • Preparation and submission of basic rate variation requests.
Material & Reconciliation • Client-supplied material reconciliation monthly tracking against issued quantities and utilisation. • Wastage reconciliation for top-10 value materials: GFC vs. kick-off data; escalation to Project Lead when thresholds exceeded. • Knowledge of market rates for man and material; ability to validate contractor claims. Reporting & Systems • Preparation of in-house Daily Progress Reports (DPR) reflecting accurate progress and billing alignment. • Working within AIPL process flow understanding resource budget workflow and maintaining FMS updates. • Receiving client billing checklists and fulfilling all documentation requirements. • Maintaining rapport and professional relationships with Client and PMC representatives. Desired Candidate Profile
Preferred candidate profile
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field — OR a well-experienced industry professional with demonstrated capability. • In-depth knowledge of interior works including joinery, wall finishes, flooring, ceiling, MEP coordination, and FF&E.; • Solid understanding of BOQ specifications vs. drawing requirements; ability to identify discrepancies. • Familiarity with client-specific documentation norms (ITC, Marriott, Hyatt, Oberoi, etc. preferred). • Understanding of contractor scope items, BOM, and billing value engineering in coordination with Project Lead. • Ability to understand management targets and plan monthly billing activity accordingly. • Presentable, with strong communication and coordination skills. • High integrity and loyalty; committed to confidentiality of commercial data. • Ability to work independently across multiple project sites.
