Department: Medical Services

Reports To: Medical Superintendent

Employment Type: Full-Time

Qualification

- MBBS with MD in General Medicine / Internal Medicine (Mandatory)
- Valid NMC/State Medical Council Registration
- 3–5 years of experience in managing diabetes and general medical conditions
- Fellowship/Certification in Diabetology will be an added advantage

Job Summary

The Diabetologist / Physician is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care with a focus on the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of diabetes and associated lifestyle disorders. The role also involves managing general medical patients, promoting preventive healthcare, and ensuring evidence-based clinical practices.

Key Responsibilities





- Diagnose and manage patients with diabetes, hypertension, and other lifestyle-related diseases.
- Conduct outpatient consultations and inpatient medical management as required.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
- Educate patients on disease management, nutrition, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
- Coordinate with dietitians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals for multidisciplinary care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and NABH standards.
- Participate in health awareness programs, CMEs, and community outreach initiatives.
- Provide emergency medical care and support when required.
