Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Import Manager to manage end-to-end import operations, international supplier coordination, shipment planning, documentation, customs clearance, and logistics for our FMCG business.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of FMCG imports, import documentation, customs procedures, shipping operations, and coordination with international suppliers and freight forwarders.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end import operations for FMCG products.

- Coordinate with international suppliers for purchase orders, Proforma --- Invoices, shipment schedules, and required documents.

- Handle import documentation including Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, insurance and other regulatory documents.

- Monitor shipment schedules, vessel bookings, ETD/ETA and delivery timelines. warehouses.

- Ensure timely customs clearance and movement of imported goods.

- Coordinate with internal teams including Purchase, Finance, Sales and Warehouse.

- Verify import-related costs including freight, customs duties, clearance charges and other logistics expenses.

- Ensure compliance with applicable import regulations, licenses and statutory requirements.





- Maintain accurate records of import shipments and documentation.

- Track shipments and proactively resolve delays, documentation issues and operational challenges.

- Negotiate and coordinate with freight forwarders and logistics partners to achieve cost-effective solutions.

- Prepare regular MIS and reports related to imports, shipments, costs and inventory movement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Commerce, Logistics or a related field.

- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Import / FMCG.

- Solid knowledge of import procedures and documentation.

- Experience in dealing with international suppliers and freight forwarders.

- Good understanding of customs clearance, shipping and logistics processes.

- Strong coordination, negotiation and communication skills.

- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel import-related MIS, AI

- Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with experience in FMCG, Food & Beverages, Wines & Spirits, Consumer Products will be preferred.
