We are looking for a Functional Data Analyst with experience in data validation, document verification, PDF data conversion, and Excel. The candidate should be able to analyze unstructured data, convert it into structured formats, and identify discrepancies between source documents and extracted data.
Experience in the fund/financial industry is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and validate data from PDF and other document formats.
- Verify extracted data against source documents.
- Identify data discrepancies, missing information, and inconsistencies.
- Compare data across different PDF documents and identify differences.
- Convert unstructured data into structured formats such as Excel, CSV, or tables.
- Perform data reconciliation and quality checks.
- Test and verify data extraction and conversion processes.
- Work with fund/financial documents and ensure data accuracy.
- Use Excel for data analysis,
comparison, validation, and reporting.
- Document data issues and work with relevant teams to resolve them.
Required Skills
- Experience as a Data Analyst, Functional Analyst, Data Quality Analyst, or similar role.
- Experience in data testing, validation, and verification.
- Hands-on experience with PDF data extraction and conversion.
- Good understanding of structured and unstructured data.
- Solid MS Excel skills.
- Ability to identify and analyze data discrepancies.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience in the fund/investment/financial industry is preferred.
Good to Have/Preferred
- Experience with AI-based data extraction.
- Knowledge of OCR or intelligent document processing.
- Experience converting scanned documents into structured data.
- Experience with LLM prompt creation / prompt engineering.
- Exposure to AI tools for document analysis and data extraction.
