Senior Accounts Officer Finance & Accounts

Position: Senior Accounts Officer
CTC: Up to 50,000 per month

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Operations

- Manage day-to-day accounting activities and ensure accurate recording of all transactions.
- Maintain books of accounts, ledgers, journals, purchase and sales records.
- Handle restaurant sales reconciliation across POS, cash, UPI, cards, aggregators and bank collections.
- Monitor daily sales, discounts, complimentary bills, cancellations and refunds.
- Perform regular bank, cash, vendor, customer and balance-sheet reconciliations.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Review vendor invoices and ensure proper accounting and supporting documentation.
- Monitor expenses and identify unusual or excess spending.
- Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing of accounts.

Restaurant Finance & Controls

- Reconcile daily outlet sales with POS reports, payment gateways and bank receipts.
- Monitor food cost, wastage, inventory-related expenses and other operating costs.
- Review purchase entries and vendor balances.
- Ensure proper controls over cash collections and petty cash.
- Track outlet-wise revenue, expenses and profitability.
- Identify accounting discrepancies, leakages and control weaknesses and report them to management.

Taxation & Statutory Compliance

- Handle and coordinate GST, TDS and other applicable statutory compliances.
- Ensure timely preparation of GST/TDS data and filing support.
- Coordinate with external Chartered Accountants, auditors and tax consultants.
- Maintain proper documentation for statutory requirements and audits.
- Assist in tax assessments, notices and other compliance-related matters.

MIS & Management Reporting

- Prepare monthly MIS reports for management.
- Prepare outlet-wise revenue and expense reports.
- Prepare variance analysis against budget/previous periods.




- Provide management with financial insights on costs, margins, receivables and payables.
- Prepare cash-flow and working-capital reports.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.

Audit & Finalisation

- Coordinate internal, statutory and tax audits.
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documents.
- Assist in finalisation of accounts.
- Ensure books and supporting documents are audit-ready at all times.

Mandatory Qualification

- CA Inter Mandatory.
- B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Candidates pursuing CA Final will be preferred.

Experience

- 47 years of relevant experience in Accounts & Finance.
- Experience in restaurants, hospitality, retail, QSR, food & beverage or multi-outlet businesses will be highly preferred.
- Candidates with experience handling complete accounting functions independently will be preferred.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Good knowledge of GST, TDS and statutory compliance.
- Excellent reconciliation and analytical skills.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel.
- Hands-on experience with Tally Prime / ERP / accounting software.
- Good understanding of POS-to-bank and payment gateway reconciliation.
- Strong attention to detail and financial discipline.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict reporting deadlines.
- Positive communication and coordination skills.

The ideal candidate should be:

- A CA Inter qualified professional with strong practical accounting knowledge.
- Comfortable working in a rapid-paced restaurant environment.
- Capable of independently managing accounts for one or multiple outlets.
- Strong in identifying financial discrepancies and implementing controls.
- Comfortable coordinating with restaurant operations, purchase, HR, vendors, auditors and management.
- High on integrity, ownership and confidentiality.

Compensation

Maximum CTC: 50,000 per month
