Job Title: AWS Engineer
Location: Chennai Siruseri
Work Mode: WFO – rotational shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, monitor, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Provision and configure AWS services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Route 53, ELB, Auto Scaling, and CloudWatch.
- Deploy and maintain applications using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or AWS CloudFormation).
- Support CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS Code Pipeline.
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability, and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
- Implement security best practices, including IAM policies, security groups, encryption, and backup strategies.
- Perform routine maintenance, patching, and upgrades of cloud resources.
- Troubleshoot Linux-based servers, networking, and application deployment issues.
- Work with development teams to support application deployments and cloud operations.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and deployment guides.
- Participate in on-call support and incident resolution when required.
- Optimize AWS resource utilization and contribute to cost optimization initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Around 2 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Valuable knowledge of EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Route 53, ELB, Auto Scaling, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
- Experience with Linux administration (Ubuntu, Amazon Linux, or RHEL).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts including DNS, VPN, NAT Gateway, Load Balancers, and Security Groups.
- Experience with Git and version control systems.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with Docker containers and Kubernetes (EKS) is an advantage.
- Basic scripting knowledge using Bash or Python.
- Understanding of monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Zabbix, or Grafana.
- Good troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline, or GitLab CI.
- Exposure to Kubernetes (Amazon EKS) and container orchestration.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Zabbix.
- Familiarity with database services including PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Understanding of AWS security best practices and Well-Architected Framework.
- Exposure to cost optimization, backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability architectures.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
