- Manage end to end Direct materials procurement/supply chain for the company that includes import, domestics supplier base & Subcontractors.
- Build solid & excellent collaborative relationship with the suppliers (Tier 1&2) base
- Ensure on time turn around to delivery of parts from suppliers to production line.
- Negotiate with the suppliers for the best possible prices matching market trend & Indexes.
- Continuous improvement on cost down on commodities, say 3% YoY
- Prepare & execute long time contractual & compliance agreements with suppliers.
- Negotiate & Improve payment terms wrt increase in payable days.
- Assess supplier performance & monitor for optimization on delivery, cost & quality.
- Monitor global Indexes & trends for material prices
- Identify critical & non performing suppliers & develop new suppliers. Resourcing for high volume & critical parts.
- Inventory control on incoming supplies and maintain reasonable Inventory at plant.
- Analyze, cost spent, Inventory, Clean to Build reports for better results & improvements.
- Prepare MIS for management on monthly basis on progress & projects.
- Guiding, Mentoring and managing other members of the purchasing team.
