- Participates in the designing of 3D System Models according to known specifications and installation details.
- Update individual assembly part drawings for current project release.
- Works on redlines and touch-ups prior to sending out piping designs or Fabrication Drawings for approvals.
- Preparation of complex drawings for arrangements, elevations, Isometrics & fabrications.
- Perform/adjust drawings based on As-Built fabrication corrections.
- Design of Fermenter and Bio-reactor systems, Filtration systems, CIP skids, Process vessel systems for bio-process applications including clean and black utilities in accordance to ASME BPE.
- Design of piping catalogue components and performing basic admin activities in PDMS. Conceptual system layout design.
- Planning the activities & resources for design/drafting to meet the pert chart dates.
- Prepare final piping detail design drawing package include job instructions, for IFA (Issue for Approval), IFC (Issue for Construction) and MST (Material Specification Transmittal).
- Supervising the design activities of the project within the team to resolve problems and to steer the project hassle free.
- Review of system design with multi-functional teams from the point of process requirements, safety and integrity requirements, operation & maintenance requirements, current positive engineering practices and customer comments / requirements at various stages of project.
- Experience on ASME-BPE standards
- Providing training to the young modelers.
Preferred candidate profile
- Graduation in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience.
- Must have good working knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, API, ANSI etc)
- Relevant Offshore mandatory requirements (Survival, medical, MIST, EBS etc)
- Good written and spoken English communication skills.
- Experience comparable with the grade in a relevant industry preferably will have experience of cryogenic/oil and gas field piping design.
- Must be familiar with an engineering organization, the function of each discipline and how they interact and the function of the various support groups globally.
- Skilled in using SP3D for equipment modeling and piping modelling.
- Excellent command on 2D drafting software Microstation
- Experience in process piping design and have the ability to utilize a P & ID to develop a constructible and cost-effective 3D model
- Knowledge of SQL (Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle)
- Knowledge of standard international styles of business communication and experience in the preparation of business and technical documentation.
- Hands on experience using Smart Plant Review
- A working knowledge of valves, in-line devices and typical support details.
- Exposure to global design codes and experience of using them in piping design
- Experience and knowledge to effectively communicate issues and ideas effectively.
