Job description

We are looking for a dynamic and execution-focused Territory Sales Manager (TSM) to drive sales and market expansion across Hyderabad. The role involves handling distributors, expanding retail presence, driving primary and secondary sales, ensuring product visibility, and executing product launches across Modern Trade channels.

Role & responsibilities

Modern Trade & Key Account Development

- Drive business growth across Modern Trade, organised retail, supermarket chains and premium retail accounts within the assigned territory.
- Hands-on experience in Quick Commerce and E-commerce, with knowledge of platform onboarding, account management, promotions, visibility and driving sales across platform
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and build strong relationships with buyers, purchase heads, category managers and other key decision-makers.
- Lead negotiations and close commercial agreements for product listings, margins, promotional activities and other trade terms.
- Drive new account onboarding and expand product presence across relevant stores and retail chains.

Distributor Appointment & Management

- Identify, evaluate and appoint capable distributors with solid market coverage and servicing capabilities.
- Manage distributor performance, including sales targets, stock availability, collections and timely servicing of retail accounts.
- Work closely with distributors and their sales teams to ensure effective execution and market coverage.

Sales Growth & Execution

- Drive achievement of monthly primary and secondary sales targets.
- Monitor account-wise, outlet-wise and SKU-wise performance and identify opportunities to improve sales and offtake.
- Ensure timely product availability,



replenishment and minimise out-of-stock situations across key accounts.
- Conduct regular market and store visits to monitor execution and address operational gaps.

Promotions, Visibility & Market Development

- Plan and execute in-store promotions, sampling activities, trade schemes and other activation initiatives in coordination with retail partners.
- Ensure effective product visibility, merchandising and shelf presence across key accounts.
- Identify opportunities to expand distribution, improve SKU listings and increase store penetration.

Commercial & Market Management

- Manage trade margins, schemes, discounts and promotional investments in line with company objectives.
- Track competitor pricing, promotions, product launches and market activity to dentify growth opportunities.
- Maintain regular sales reports and share key market insights and business updates with management.

Preferred candidate profile

- Prior experience in handling and developing business with leading Modern retail chains such as DMart, Ratnadeep, Balaji Grand Bazar, Vijetha, Sampoorna, Red Rose or similar organised retail accounts is preferred.
- 7+ years of FMCG sales experience, preferably in Snack category.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close commercial deals, onboard retail accounts and appoint/manage distributors.
- Strong communication, negotiation, relationship management and sales execution skills.
- Solid understanding of FMCG sales commercials, margins, and trade incentives.
- Proven experience in handling distributors and driving secondary sales.
- Must be familiar with local routes, retail clusters, and premium supermarket formats.
