Strategic Souring (Executive - Assistant Manager)

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

- Manage procurement activities for API R&D; projects.
- Source KSMs, intermediates, raw materials, chemicals, reagents, solvents, catalysts, and lab consumables.
- Identify and develop recent suppliers.
- Collect and compare quotations, specifications, COAs, and other required documents.
- Conduct RFQs, cost analysis, and prepare comparative statements.

Supplier Management

- Negotiate price, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor supplier quality, delivery, and service performance.
- Maintain good supplier relationships and resolve supplier issues.

Project Coordination

- Coordinate with R&D;, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and other teams.
- Ensure timely procurement for development, validation, pilot batches, scale-up, and technology transfer activities.

Import & Logistics

- Coordinate import documentation and shipment activities.




- Follow up on customs clearance and critical shipments.
- Escalate and resolve delivery delays.

Purchase Orders & SAP

- Create and monitor purchase requisitions and POs in SAP.
- Track orders from placement to material receipt.
- Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery.

Compliance & Finance

- Maintain procurement and supplier documentation as per company procedures.
- Support audits and compliance activities.
- Coordinate with Finance to resolve invoice and payment issues.
