1. ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for entry-level Power BI Developer to join the BI and reporting team.

The role is primarily a learning and support role. The candidate will assist with data preparation, basic SL, Power BI report development, testing, validation and documentation.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Creating and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Prepare data and perform data cleaning using Power uery or Excel.
- Write simple SL queries for data extraction and validation.
- Assist with basic joins, filters, aggregations and data checks.
- Create Power BI visuals, filters, slicers and basic measures under guidance.
- Assist in testing new reports and changes before they are released.
- Compare Power BI numbers with source data and highlight discrepancies to the senior developer.
- Support report refresh checks and inform the senior developer of refresh or data issues.
- Maintain report documentation, data definitions and basic process notes.
- Support senior developers and team leads with ad-hoc data and reporting requirements.

3. REUIRED SKILLS

Power BI knowledge of Power BI Desktop, visuals, filters and dashboards.

SL SELECT, WHERE, GROUP BY, ORDER BY and JOINs.

Power uery Basic understanding of data cleaning and transformation.

DAX understanding of measures and simple calculations.

Data understanding of tables, columns and relationships.

Excel Comfortable with basic data handling and validation.

4. HOW THIS ROLE SUPPORTS THE TEAM





The objective is to take care of repeatable development, testing and data-support activities.

Support the Power BI Developer team and other leads in report development and enhancements.

- Take up smaller report changes and straightforward dashboard requirements after training.
- Perform first-level data checks before reports are handed over for review.
- Assist with report testing, UAT fixes and documentation.
- Prepare simple SL extracts and validation queries requested by senior team members.
- Help maintain existing reports, datasets and reporting documentation.
- Escalate complex SL, DAX, modelling, refresh or business-logic issues to the experienced developer or lead.

5. WHAT IS EXPECTED

7. IDEAL CANDIDATE

- Graduate with an interest in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence or Reporting.
- Has exposure to Power BI and SL through coursework, internship or projects.
- Has good logical and analytical thinking.
- Willing to learn
- Careful with data and able to follow defined processes.
- Good communication skills and willingness to ask questions when unsure.
- Able to work as part of a team and take feedback positively.

10. UALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in a good Educational Institution (Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence) or equivalent.
