- Proven enterprise software engineering experience building, debugging, and supporting production systems
- Solid proficiency in a modern backend language (Python or Java)
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform
- Experience designing and delivering AWS applications, including migrations and cost/performance optimization
- Working knowledge of CI/CD and source control (Jenkins/Jules; Git/Bitbucket)
- Track record of delivering high-performance, fault-tolerant solutions in complex environments
- Database experience across SQL/RDBMS and NoSQL, with solid SDLC and Agile practices
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs
- Preferred: AWS Developer and/or Solutions Architect certification
- A big plus: Amazon Connect/contact center exposure, telephony and WebRTC experience, and familiarity with React
- Ability to leverage AI capabilities (e.g., GenAI-assisted development, automation, and analysis tools) to accelerate solution design, implementation, and troubleshooting
