As a Food and Beverage Captain, your primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth operation of dining services in a hotel, restaurant or catering establishment. Essentially, you are in charge of overseeing the dining experience. Your role includes managing a team of waitstaff, ensuring that tables are prepared for guests, food is served in a timely manner, and that everything runs smoothly. In addition, you will work with the kitchen staff to ensure the food quality expectations of the establishment are met. Beyond ensuring that guests have a pleasant dining experience, you are responsible for developing menu items and ensuring that all food and drink orders comply with health regulations. It is a demanding position in a fast-paced industry, but it can also be incredibly rewarding.
