Job Description
Summary: The Vessel IT Engineer will be a part of IT Department and is responsible for managing, supporting, maintaining and upgrading the on-board IT infrastructure of X-Press Feeders and her subsidiary vessels.

nThe successful candidate will provide remote IT support, and when required on-board support on our vessels. The position offers development in IT knowledge, tele-communication and cyber security skills in a multicultural environment.
n

nReports to: Senior Manager, Vessel IT
n

nRole and Responsibilities:
n
- n
- Provide support to our fleet of vessels and crew, remotely and on-boardn
- Install, configure and troubleshooting physical/virtual machines, laptops, printers, mobiles, tablets, storage systems and network devices (hardware, operating systems and software applications)n
- Participate in the design, implementation of our vessels' IT infrastructuren
- Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliabilityn
- Perform system and network updates/upgradesn
- Maintain IT security and backup solutionsn
- Liaise with vendors,



email providers and other IT personnel for problem resolution or when current tasks are neededn
- Provide out-of-business hours/weekend support as part of an on-call rotan
- Occasional ship-boarding is required.n

nRequirements:
n
- n
- Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent.n
- 2 - 5 years of relevant vessel IT experience.n
- Experience in implementing and supporting cyber security solutions is preferred.n
- Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting, data cabling and WiFi infrastructure.n
- Knowledge of ships automation systems will be a plus.n
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.n
- Ambitious, self-motivated, fast learner with can-do attitude and a genuine interest in all aspects of IT Support.n
- Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and flexibility to work prolonged hours.n
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
