- In the field of research, the University received grants over 5 crores in 2022.
- Ms. Manisha Padhi, alumni of CGU have been appointed as the ADC to The Hon’ble

Governor of Mizoram in 2023 and became the first ever female to hold the position.
- Ms. Swagatika Mohanty, Civil Engineering (2013-17), has bagged the 15th rank in Odisha

Civil Services Exam in 2023 and is now a functional, respectable, responsible OAS.
- Safia Aktar, Anshu Kumari, and Radhika Rani Panda won the 1st prize at “10-Hour Women





Hackathon” organised by Trithon Triplets 2k23.
- Abhishek Kumar, B.Tech (ECE) awarded the Visweswaraya Prativa Puraskar at Odisha

Technological Conclave, 2023.
- Mr. Praveen Giri won the Silver Medal in the area of Water Technology at World Skills,

Stuttgart, Germany, 2022.
- Mr. Subrat Patel won Medallion of Excellence in the area of Restaurant Services at World

Skills, Stuttgart, Germany, 2022.
- 9 students represented India in World skills 2022 in 7 various Skills.

Where You Come In The University is seeking a qualified and passionate Yoga Teacher to guide students, faculty, and staff in yoga, meditation, and holistic health practices. This role is responsible for conducting regular practical yoga classes, designing wellness modules, and promoting mental and physical well-being across the university campus.

Supervision Details:

Immediate Supervisor: Head of the Department / Dean Student Welfare

Indirect Supervisors – President, Vice President, Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor, Registrar

Working Relationship: All Teaching and Non-teaching staffs of the Department/University

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Practical Classes: Conduct daily practical yoga sessions (Asanas, Pranayama, Kriyas, and

Dhyana) tailored for beginners, intermediate, and advanced practitioners.
1. Academic & Extra-Curricular Integration:Assist in teaching elective yoga courses, value- added programs,



or practical credits within the university curriculum.

2. Campus Events & Observances:Lead major university wellness initiatives, including

International Day of Yoga programs, orientation workshops, and wellness camps.
1. Stress Management Sessions: Offer dedicated relaxation and stress-relief sessions during

mid-terms, final exams, and high-stress academic periods.
1. Individual Guidance:Provide tailored posture corrections, therapeutic modifications for

injuries/health conditions, and personal guidance to students and staff.

1. Record Keeping & Upkeep: Maintain attendance registers, assess student performance in

credited courses, and manage the campus yoga hall and props. Who Are We Looking For

1. Educational Background: M.Sc. in Yoga from a recognized university.
2. Experience: 5 years of teaching experience in a university, college, school, or reputed

institutional workplace.
1. Certifications:** Ministry/National Board Certification (e.g., Yoga Certification Board/

YCB) or a minimum 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) credential.
1. Certifications:** Active First Aid and CPR certifications preferred.
2. Key Competencies: Strong command over classical yoga philosophy, practical sequencing,

voice modulation, and student engagement. We Expect from you as the Yoga Teacher:

We expect you to uphold strong professional discipline by conducting safe, inclusive, and punctual yoga sessions that support the physical and mental well-being of our university community.

Additionally, you should actively engage with students and staff as an approachable wellness mentor while collaborating on campus-wide health initiatives and events.
