About the Role

We are looking for experienced Web Research Specialists / Investigative Researchers to support an AI evaluation project.

This is not a content-writing or traditional research role . You will conduct deep web investigations and create challenging research problems that advanced AI browsing agents may struggle to solve.

What You'll Do

- Conduct deep open-web and investigative research.
- Find and validate information through primary sources, government databases, institutional records, archives, registries and PDFs .
- Create research questions with objectively verifiable answers and multi-step clues.
- Build detailed, auditable evidence trails with precise citations.
- Cite exact pages, tables, sections and records.
- Document searches performed and validate findings across multiple sources.




- Research unfamiliar topics independently with a high level of accuracy.

Must-Have

- 3+ years of relevant research experience
- Strong open-web research / OSINT skills
- Proven ability to locate and validate primary sources
- Excellent written English
- Robust attention to detail and documentation
- Experience with LLM evaluation, red-teaming or benchmark construction
- Background in at least one of:
- OSINT / Investigative Research
- Investigative Journalism / Fact-Checking
- KYC / Due Diligence
- Archival / Reference Research
- Patent / Prior-Art Research
- Legal Discovery
- Genealogy / Records Research
- Competitive Quizzing / Puzzle-Hunt Research

Nice to have: JSON or structured data experience.

Work Requirements

- 40 hours/week
- Minimum 4 hours PST overlap
- 8-week contractor assignment
- No medical or paid leave
