ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly creative, detail-oriented and confident Senior Interior Designer / Design Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate should have an exceptional design sense, strong knowledge of luxury interiors, excellent client-handling skills and the ability to independently manage projects and lead a team.

This is not just a design role. The candidate will be responsible for owning projects from concept to execution, managing clients, guiding the design team, preparing BOQs and coordinating with execution, procurement and vendors.

We are looking for someone who can take ownership and deliver a premium experience to our clients at every stage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. CLIENT MANAGEMENT

* Act as the primary design point of contact for assigned clients.

- Understand the client's lifestyle, requirements, preferences, aspirations and budget.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients throughout the project.
- Conduct client meetings and confidently present design concepts, mood boards, 3Ds, materials and design proposals.
- Understand client feedback and translate it into practical design solutions.
- Handle revisions professionally while maintaining the overall design vision.
- Manage client expectations regarding timelines, design decisions, materials and project deliverables.
- Ensure a smooth and premium client experience from concept to handover.

2. DESIGN & CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

* Develop strong, original and sophisticated interior design concepts.
- Create mood boards, material palettes, furniture concepts and overall design narratives.
- Have an exceptional eye for colour, proportion, scale, texture, materials, lighting and detailing.
- Create spaces that feel luxurious, timeless, sophisticated and highly personalised.
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, accessories, hardware and dcor.
- Develop designs based on the client's personality rather than simply following trends.
- Review and approve 3Ds, drawings, material selections and design details before presenting them to clients.
- Ensure that the final execution remains true to the approved design intent.

3. DESIGN TEAM MANAGEMENT

* Lead and manage a team of interior designers and junior designers.
- Allocate work and responsibilities according to project requirements.
- Monitor team performance and project deadlines.
- Review drawings, presentations, 3Ds and design work before they reach the client.
- Mentor junior designers and help improve the overall design quality of the team.
- Coordinate between designers, architects, 3D artists, vendors, procurement and site teams.
- Ensure all design deliverables are completed accurately and on time.

BOQ & COMMERCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

* Prepare and review detailed BOQs (Bill of Quantities) based on approved designs and drawings.

- Ensure all materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, hardware and other design requirements are accurately captured in the BOQ.
- Coordinate with procurement and vendors for accurate quantities, specifications and rates.
- Ensure design selections remain aligned with the client's approved budget.
- Review vendor quotations and compare them against BOQ quantities and specifications.
- Identify the commercial impact of any design changes before implementation.
- Track additions, deductions and variations throughout the project.
- Coordinate with procurement/accounts/execution teams to maintain commercial accuracy.
- Identify quantity or specification errors before they result in project losses.
- Maintain a balance between design quality, client expectations and project profitability.

5. SITE & EXECUTION COORDINATION

* Visit project sites regularly as required.
- Coordinate with site supervisors, contractors, vendors and execution teams.
- Resolve design-related issues arising during execution.
- Clarify drawings, dimensions, materials and detailing with the site team.
- Check whether design elements are being executed according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Identify discrepancies between drawings and site conditions and provide appropriate solutions.
- Ensure quality and detailing are maintained throughout execution.
- Coordinate with the execution team during critical stages of the project.

6. MATERIAL & VENDOR COORDINATION

* Research and identify premium materials, finishes, furniture, lighting and accessories.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for samples, specifications and quotations.
- Review samples and ensure they meet the approved design standard.
- Participate in material selections and presentations with clients.
- Maintain an updated understanding of new materials, finishes, products and design trends.
- Ensure the right material is specified and approved before procurement.

7. PROJECT OWNERSHIP

* Take complete ownership of assigned projects.
- Prepare and maintain project design schedules.
- Ensure drawings, BOQs, presentations and material selections are delivered within timelines.
- Coordinate across design, procurement and execution teams.
- Identify potential project issues in advance and proactively solve them.
- Maintain high standards of design, documentation and execution.




- Ensure the project is delivered according to the approved design, budget and timeline.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Must Have

* Bachelor's / Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in premium/luxury residential interiors.
- Strong portfolio of completed residential projects.
- Exceptional design sense and understanding of luxury aesthetics.
- Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting and detailing.
- Excellent client communication and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership and team-management abilities.
- Good understanding of BOQs, quantities, specifications and commercial coordination.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Good understanding of 3D visualisation and presentation software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.

Preferred

* Experience handling HNI/UHNI clients.

- Experience with large luxury residences, villas, apartments or high-end residential projects.
- Knowledge of SketchUp / 3Ds Max / V-Ray / Photoshop / Canva or equivalent software.
- Experience coordinating turnkey interior projects from design through execution.
- Strong vendor and material knowledge.

COMPENSATION

60,000 – 1,00,000+ per month, depending on experience, portfolio, design capability and overall project-management skills.
