About the Role

Kinemach Engineering and Machines Pvt. Ltd. designs and builds Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) and capital equipment. We are looking for a highly experienced VMC Operator cum Setter to independently set and run our vertical machining centres, including 4th axis (rotary) work. This is a senior, hands-on shop-floor role for someone who can take a component from drawing to first-piece approval on their own - not a machine-minding position.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC vertical machining centres independently, including 4th axis / rotary indexer setups

Write, edit and prove out part programs at the machine controller; optimise feeds, speeds, tool paths and cycle times

Select and mount tooling, fixtures and work-holding; set work offsets, tool offsets and datums

Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T; and 3D models

Carry out first-piece inspection and obtain approval before releasing the batch

Perform in-process inspection using vernier, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauge and dial indicators

Machine low-volume, high-mix SPM components and job-shop work with frequent changeovers rather than mass production

Diagnose and correct machining problems such as chatter, tool wear, dimensional drift and surface finish issues

Carry out daily and preventive machine maintenance

Maintain setup sheets, tool lists, offset records and production documentation

Follow 5S, safety and quality procedures on the shop floor

Required Skills and Experience

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Tool and Die, or equivalent trade qualification

Minimum 10 years of hands-on CNC VMC experience,



with a substantial part of it as a setter and not only as an operator

Proven experience setting and machining on a 4th axis (rotary table / indexer)

Ability to write and edit programs at the machine - G codes, M codes, canned cycles, work and tool offsets

Strong drawing reading and GD&T; interpretation

Confident use of measuring instruments and first-piece inspection methods

Good working knowledge of cutting tools, cutting parameters and materials such as MS, alloy steel, stainless steel, aluminium and cast iron

Preferred (Added Advantage)

Experience on Mitsubishi CNC controllers (Fanuc and Siemens experience also welcome)

SolidCAM programming experience (Mastercam, Edgecam or NX CAM also considered)

Experience machining SPM or special machine components and one-off / low-volume jobs

Exposure to fixture design, tooling cost reduction and cycle time improvement

Basic ability to open and read 3D CAD models in SolidWorks

Location and Relocation

Work location is Khed, Maharashtra (Pune district). We welcome applications from candidates across India, including Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Relocation to the Khed / Chakan area is required for this role.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
