Job Description

Role Summary:
We are looking for a Junior IT / Infrastructure Support / System Administrator to support
end-user computing, IT infrastructure, networking and server operations. The ideal
candidate should have strong technical fundamentals, valuable troubleshooting skills and
a willingness to learn enterprise technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Provide desktop, laptop and end-user support.
Install, configure and troubleshoot Windows, Linux and macOS systems.
Support Microsoft Office, Outlook, VPN and business applications.
Assist with Active Directory administration.
Troubleshoot networking issues.
Support physical servers, storage and virtualization platforms.

Technical Requirements
1. Desktop & Laptop Hardware
Hands-on experience opening laptops and desktops.
Install/upgrade RAM, SSD and HDD.
Basic BIOS/UEFI configuration.
Driver installation and updates.
Basic hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting.

2. End User & Desktop Support
Windows installation and troubleshooting.
Application installation and updates.
Device Manager, Event Viewer, Services.
Safe Mode, Disk Cleanup and startup troubleshooting.
CPU, Memory and Disk performance troubleshooting.
Printer support and remote support tools.

3. Networking Fundamentals
DNS, DHCP, IPv4/IPv6, Public vs Private IP.
OSI model and purpose of each layer.
How websites load and how the Internet works.




Router, Switch, Firewall and VLAN basics.
Commands: ping, tracert, nslookup, ipconfig/ifconfig.

4. Windows / Linux / macOS
Basic OS installation.
Application installation and troubleshooting.
Linux basics (pwd, ls, cd, mkdir, cp, mv, cat).
Check CPU, Memory and Disk usage.
Basic OS troubleshooting.

5. Disk & Storage
Windows/Linux partition concepts.
Formatting and file systems.
Storage capacity awareness.

6. Microsoft Outlook
Basic Outlook profile and mail troubleshooting.
Microsoft Teams and Office basics.

7. VPN
Basic VPN concepts.
VPN connectivity troubleshooting.
Remote Desktop awareness.

8. Active Directory
User creation.
Security groups.
Group Policy awareness.
Password reset and account unlock.

9. Physical Servers & Virtualization
Awareness of Lenovo/Dell/HPE servers.
RAID 0/1/5/10 concepts.
Firmware, BIOS and driver updates.
Storage monitoring.
Hyper-V and virtualization awareness.

Preferred Skills
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Good communication skills with a high level of integrity and ownership
Willingness to learn enterprise technologies.
Willingness to provide flexible support, including availability outside regular
business hours when required to assist end users and resolve IT-related issues.

Relevant entry-level IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+,
CCNA, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Linux Essentials, or equivalent will
be considered an added advantage.
