Job Description Planning & Rostering Agent Position Overview

The Planning & Rostering Agent is responsible for preparing and managing manpower rosters for airport ground handling operations. The role ensures optimum staff utilization, adequate manpower deployment, operational continuity, and compliance with aviation safety and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly manpower rosters for operational departments.
- Allocate manpower based on flight schedules, aircraft movements, workload, and operational requirements.
- Ensure adequate staffing during peak and off-peak operations.
- Coordinate with department supervisors regarding shift requirements and manpower deployment.
- Update rosters based on leave, absenteeism, training, and operational changes.
- Monitor attendance, overtime, shift compliance, and manpower utilization.
- Identify manpower shortages and recommend additional staffing or shift adjustments.
- Coordinate with operations teams during operational exigencies to ensure uninterrupted services.
- Maintain accurate roster and manpower-related records and data.

Safety & Compliance Responsibilities




- Ensure manpower deployment supports protected and effective aircraft ground handling operations.
- Follow the organization's Safety Management System (SMS) and applicable aviation procedures.
- Ensure roster planning complies with operational, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Escalate manpower-related operational risks or compliance concerns to the Duty Manager/Operations Control.
- Exercise the authority to stop work in case of violations of safety procedures or legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline preferred.
- Qualification in Aviation, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field will be an advantage.
- Experience in manpower planning, rostering, airport operations, ground handling, or workforce coordination will be preferred.

Authority & Accountability

- Prepare and modify operational rosters based on approved manpower requirements.
- Coordinate manpower deployment during operational exigencies.
- Recommend additional manpower and shift adjustments to management.
- Escalate manpower shortages, operational risks, and compliance issues to the appropriate authority.
