Key Responsibilities

- Design and development of BIW Under Body / Upper Body components and assemblies using UGNX / Siemens NX.
- Create and modify 3D models, assemblies and 2D drawings as per design requirements.
- Work on BIW components such as floor, cross members, side members, pillars, roof, package tray, wheel house and related structures.
- Understand automotive BIW design concepts, manufacturing requirements and design feasibility.
- Perform design modifications based on engineering changes and customer requirements.
- Check clearances, interfaces, packaging and assembly feasibility.
- Support design reviews, problem solving and engineering change activities.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, tooling, quality and vehicle integration.
- Follow GD&T;, drawing standards and engineering specifications.

Required Skills

- Robust knowledge of BIW design – Under Body / Upper Body.
- Hands-on experience with UGNX / Siemens NX / NX CAD.
- Good knowledge of 3D modelling and assembly design.
- Basic knowledge of GD&T; and engineering drawings.
- Understanding of sheet metal design and automotive BIW components.
- Knowledge of automotive design and manufacturing processes.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills





- Experience with Teamcenter / PLM.
- Knowledge of BIW tooling and manufacturing feasibility.
- Exposure to CATIA is an added advantage.
- Experience working with OEM / automotive projects is preferred.

We are looking for a BIW Design Engineer with hands-on experience in Under Body or Upper Body design using Siemens NX / UGNX. The candidate will be responsible for 3D modelling, component and assembly design, drawing creation, and design development activities for automotive BIW structures.
