Job Title: ORACLE FUNCTIONAL CONSULTANT QA
Location: Hyderabad/Bengaluru/Pune, India

We are seeking 6-9 years of experienced Oracle EBS Functional Consultant to join our Quality Assurance Practice. The consultant will be responsible for analysing quality-management and inspection processes, designing Oracle EBS Quality solutions, configuring collection plans and specifications, integrating quality controls with manufacturing and supply-chain transactions, and supporting implementation, validation, deployment, and production operations.
The ideal candidate should have strong functional knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite R12/R12.2, with hands-on experience in Oracle Quality, Inventory, Purchasing, Work in Process, Bills of Material, Manufacturing, and related modules.
Oracle Quality uses collection plans to define what quality data must be collected, where and when it should be collected, and what actions should be initiated based on the results. Collection plans consist of collection elements, values, specifications, and quality-based actions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Requirements and Process Analysis
- Conduct workshops with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, manufacturing, procurement, warehouse, engineering, supply-chain, and compliance teams.
- Understand current quality-management, inspection, testing, and nonconformance processes.
- Gather requirements for:
- Receiving inspection
- In-process inspection
- Final-product inspection
- Supplier quality
- Shop-floor quality
- Inventory quality
- Customer-return inspection
- Equipment and maintenance inspection
- Nonconformance and defect tracking
- Rework and scrap management
- Document current-state and future-state processes.
- Prepare business requirement documents, functional requirement documents, fit-gap analyses, and process-flow diagrams.
- Translate business and quality requirements into Oracle EBS configurations.
- Recommend scalable solutions using standard Oracle EBS capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to replace spreadsheets, paper inspection forms, and manual quality processes.

- Ensure quality results are evaluated against the correct specification.
- Analyse and resolve issues involving incorrect or missing specification assignments.
4. Receiving and Supplier Quality
- Configure quality plans for purchase-order receipts and receiving inspections.
- Define inspection requirements for purchased materials and supplier deliveries.
- Configure quality-data collection during receiving transactions.
- Capture details such as:
- Purchase order
- Supplier
- Supplier site
- Item
- Receipt
- Lot number
- Serial number

- Coordinate with Purchasing and iSupplier Portal teams where external supplier participation is required.
Oracle Quality supports the collection of supplier-defect information during receiving and inspection processes and integrates quality data collection with other Oracle EBS transaction flows.
5. Manufacturing and Shop-Floor Quality
- Configure quality plans for Oracle Work in Process and manufacturing transactions.
- Define inspection points across manufacturing operations.
- Configure quality-data collection during:

- Configure automatic actions based on collected quality results.
- Define actions for:
- Out-of-specification results
- Failed inspections
- Defect identification

- Repeated supplier failures
- Critical quality events
- Configure actions such as:
- Display a message
- Reject a transaction
- Assign a value
- Launch a workflow
- Send an alert or notification

- Configure formulas to derive calculated results and assign values.

- Coordinate with Oracle Alert and Workflow teams for notification requirements.
Oracle Quality supports user-defined formulas and quality-based actions that can be triggered automatically when collected results fall outside specified limits. It can also use Oracle Alert for electronic notifications and distribution lists.
7. Nonconformance and Corrective Action Management
- Design solutions for recording and managing nonconformance events.
- Configure collection plans to capture:

- Support export or integration of quality information with enterprise reporting platforms.
