What awaits you/ Job Profile
- Lead interior concept integration for passenger car programs.
- Translate styling concepts into feasible engineering solutions.
- Integrate instrument panel, console, trims, seating, HVAC, electrical and restraint interfaces.
- Develop and validate interior layouts, master sections and vehicle hard points.
- Ensure compliance with packaging, ergonomics, safety and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct digital mock-up, clash, clearance and assembly feasibility reviews.
- Coordinate with Styling, CAE, Electrical, Safety, Manufacturing and Supplier teams.
- Drive technical issue resolution from concept development through design release.
- Support prototype builds, validation, production trials and vehicle launch.
- Manage program deliverables, risks, engineering changes and design maturity.
What should you bring along
- 10 to 15 years of automotive product-development experience.
- Strong experience in passenger car interior concept integration.
- Completion of at least two full passenger car development programs.
- Experience from concept phase through design release and vehicle launch.
- Good understanding of complete vehicle architecture and occupant packaging.
- Solid cross-functional and supplier coordination experience.
- Knowledge of interior manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Ability to lead design reviews and make technical decisions.
- Strong problem-solving, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to mentor engineers and manage multiple program priorities.
Must have technical skill
- Advanced hands-on experience in CATIA V5 and/or CATIA V6.
- Proficiency in Part Design, Generative Shape Design and Assembly Design.
- Experience in Teamcenter for product data and engineering release management.
- Interior master-section development and validation.
- Vehicle-level packaging, clash and clearance analysis.
- Interior system interface and integration management.
- Styling feasibility and Class-A surface assessment.
- Knowledge of ergonomics, occupant safety and regulatory requirements.
- Gap, flushness, tolerance and dimensional management.
- Knowledge of plastic components, tooling and assembly feasibility.
Good to have Technical skills
- Experience with complete cockpit and cabin integration.
- Knowledge of instrument panel, console, door trim, headliner and pillar trims.
- Exposure to seating, HVAC, infotainment, wiring and airbag integration.
- Experience in Design FMEA and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly.
- Knowledge of tolerance stack-up and variation analysis.
- Experience in engineering change and Bill of Materials management.
- Exposure to CAE, crash-safety and physical validation processes.
- Knowledge of automotive interior materials and joining processes.
- Experience working with global OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.
- Exposure to cost, weight, quality and value-engineering activities.
