About The Green HypeThe Green Hype is a Jaipur-based creative agency and production house working across social media, branding, advertising campaigns, commercial films and social-media-first filmmaking.

We’re looking for a Video Editing Intern who wants to do more than cut clips together.

You’ll work closely with our editors, directors, cinematographers, creative team and production team on everything from short-form social content to branded films, campaigns and ad films.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to seriously learn editing, storytelling, filmmaking and post-production in a fast-moving creative setting.

What You’ll Work On• Reels, Shorts and social-media-first videos

- Brand films and commercial content
- Advertising campaigns
- Behind-the-scenes content
- Interview and talking-head edits
- Product films and montage-based videos
- Performance marketing/ad creatives
- Internal creative experiments and filmmaking projects

What You’ll Do• Edit short-form videos for Instagram, YouTube and other digital platforms
- Assist senior editors on commercial films and larger productions
- Select the best takes and build strong first cuts
- Understand scripts and translate them into engaging edits
- Work on pacing, rhythm, timing and storytelling
- Add music, sound effects and basic sound design
- Work with subtitles, typography and basic motion graphics
- Organise footage, project files, proxies and editing timelines properly
- Create multiple versions, aspect ratios and platform-specific edits
- Work closely with directors and creatives to understand the intended emotion and communication of a film
- Participate in edit reviews and incorporate feedback efficiently
- Assist with footage management after shoots
- Find music, references and editing inspiration when required
- Occasionally participate in shoots to understand how footage is being created and how it will eventually be edited





What We’re Looking For• Good working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro

- Understanding of cuts, pacing, continuity and basic storytelling
- Good sense of music and ability to edit according to rhythm
- Understanding of Reels, Shorts and current short-form editing styles
- Basic knowledge of colour correction and audio adjustment
- Ability to understand references and recreate an editing style without blindly copying it
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to organise footage and project files properly
- Comfortable receiving feedback and making multiple iterations
- Genuine interest in filmmaking, advertising, editing and visual storytelling

Good to Have• Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects

- Knowledge of DaVinci Resolve
- Basic motion graphics skills
- Understanding of sound design
- Experience editing ad films, branded content or cinematic videos
- Knowledge of codecs, frame rates, proxies and export settings
- Familiarity with AI tools used in creative/video workflows
- Understanding of cameras and the production process

This Role Is NOT Just About ReelsWe are also a production house, so you’ll get exposure to the complete filmmaking process.

You may edit a Reel one day, assist on an ad-film edit the next, sit with a director for a film review, work with footage from an actual production, and understand why certain shots were planned and filmed in a particular way.

We want someone who wants to become a better editor and filmmaker, not someone who only wants to learn transitions.
