Role Description The Video Editor at Akademy is a full-time, on-site role based in Kochi. This role is responsible for editing raw footage into polished, cohesive videos that align with brand and educational objectives. Day-to-day tasks include assembling video sequences, applying transitions, adding audio, integrating graphics and motion elements, and performing color correction and grading.

Editor will collaborate closely with producers, content creators, and designers to refine visual storytelling and maintain consistency across projects.



The role also involves organizing media assets, managing project timelines, and preparing files for various platforms and formats.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Video Production and Video Editing skills.
- Candidates should possess Video Color Grading skills and an eye for visual consistency.
- Candidates should possess Motion Graphics and Graphics skills for enhancing visual storytelling.
- Proficiency with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and motion tools (e.g., After Effects) is beneficial.
- Relevant experience in educational, corporate, or digital media video projects is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to take feedback constructively, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Good time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- A diploma or degree in Film, Media, Communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
