Position: Transport In-charge

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Transport In-charge to manage and coordinate the day-to-day transportation operations of the institution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Fleet & Route Management

- Plan and optimize bus routes, time schedules, and pick-up/drop-off points for safety and fuel efficiency.
- Monitor live GPS tracking and CCTV feeds to address delays or route changes immediately.
- Arrange extra transport for field trips, sports meets, and special events.

2. Safety and Legal Compliance

- Ensure all buses comply with RTO (Regional Transport Office) rules, traffic laws, and educational board safety guidelines.
- Keep vehicle documents updated, including fitness certificates, insurance, road taxes, permits, and pollution control (PUC) certificates.
- Verify that safety gear like first-aid kits, fire extinguishers, speed governors, and emergency exits are fully functional
- Conduct mandatory police verification and background checks for all drivers and bus attendants.

3. Staff Supervision

- Supervise bus drivers, and attender,, ensuring proper uniform and professional behavior.
- Schedule duty rosters, track attendance,



and organize periodic training on road safety and child protection.

4. Maintenance & Records

- Coordinate regular vehicle servicing, routine repairs, and safety checks.
- Maintain daily logbooks, fuel consumption records, and maintenance expense reports.

5. Parent Communication

- Act as the primary contact point for transport-related questions, feedback, or complaints from parents.
- Notify parents promptly regarding delays, breakdowns, or schedule adjustments.

Eligibility

- Any Degree / Diploma preferred.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in transport management, preferably in an educational institution.
- Positive communication and coordination skills.
- Must have computer knowledge and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, permits, insurance and transport regulations will be an advantage.
