Role Description:-

The Training & Placement Officer (School of Media Communication & Design) is a full-time, in office role based at the IMS Unison University campus in Dehradun. The role involves designing and implementing training programs to enhance students’ employability, including soft skills, professional etiquette, and industry readiness workshops. The officer will coordinate campus placement activities, engage with media, communication, and design industry recruiters, and build long-term relationships with organizations for internships and final placements.

Daily responsibilities include counseling students on career paths, maintaining placement records, organizing pre-placement talks, industry interactions, and alumni engagement. The officer will also monitor placement outcomes, prepare reports, and contribute to strategic initiatives that strengthen the school’s industry interface and student success.

Qualifications:-





- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Management, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Human Resources, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in Placements at University/ College Level.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Campus Placement and College Recruiting, including employer outreach, placement coordination, and managing recruitment processes.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including presentation abilities, report writing, interpersonal communication, and stakeholder management.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Training and Soft Skills development, including conducting workshops on communication, teamwork, professional behavior, and interview preparation.
- Relevant experience in university/college placement cells, corporate HR, talent acquisition, or career services, preferably in media, communication, or design domains.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities, with proficiency in MS Office and basic data management for placement tracking and reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, administration, industry partners, and students, demonstrating a student-centric and inclusive approach.
- Knowledge of current industry trends in media, communication, and design, and the ability to translate them into effective training and placement
