RIASAT - Ramaiah Academy for Advanced Skills and Technology is entering into a strategic partnership with Dassault Systemes India. This partnership would cover the entire knowledge spectrum of Industry ready skilling - consulting - applied research. Dassault Systemes provides 3D experience platform that allows clients to connect teams, data and process in one place. This would be covering Manufacturing, Engineering and Life Sciences using Dassault's world-famous software application platforms.
As global supply chains realign, India is emerging as a critical hub for high precision manufacturing and deep science commercialization. Despite producing large number of Engineering graduates, traditional academic systems are not generating enough day one ready talent for complex hardware translation, defense manufacturing, semiconductor packaging and medtech devices.

Position Title
Trainer – Simulation Driven Product Design
Role Purpose The trainer will deliver simulation-focused training that emphasizes using simulation in product design decision-making. The trainer should help learners understand how to validate product performance, compare design alternatives, interpret simulation results, and improve designs using Dassault Systèmes simulation solutions.
The course should not be delivered as a tool-command-only training. The trainer must connect simulation to real engineering problems, such as structural strength, stiffness, thermal behavior, fluid flow, vibration, pressure loading, product failure, and design optimization.
Reporting to: General Manager – Delivery (Dassault Program)
Location: Bangalore
Trainer Capability
· Linear static analysis, stress, strain, displacement, fatigue, durability and design validation
· FEA modelling, meshing, boundary conditions, loads and result interpretation
· Multi-physics simulation exposure across structural, thermal and fluid domains
· CFD fundamentals, flow simulation, pressure drop, velocity and thermal behaviour
· Simulation workflow setup, process standardization and repeatable simulation templates
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on training in simulation-driven engineering workflows.
- Train learners on pre-processing, meshing,
material assignment, boundary conditions, load cases and solver execution.
- Explain core engineering simulation concepts such as stress, strain, displacement, factors of safety, convergence, contact, thermal loading, fatigue, durability and fluid behaviour.
- Help learners understand when and how simulation should be applied during design.
- Build practical case studies from automotive, industrial equipment, consumer products, machine parts and manufacturing components.
- Guide students in interpreting results and converting simulation findings into design improvements.
- Prepare learners for certification and industry roles in CAE, FEA and simulation engineering.
- Develop simulation assignments, validation exercises and capstone projects.
- Support RIASAT in industry workshops, consulting demonstrations and commercial training engagements.
- Maintain technical quality and ensure simulation models are realistic, explainable and not merely software demonstrations.
Required Qualification and Experience
- BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive, Civil/Structural or related engineering discipline
- 4–10 years of experience in CAE, FEA, CFD, product validation, structural analysis or simulation consulting.
- Practical experience in simulation tools such as Abaqus, SIMULIA, 3DEXPERIENCE Simulation or equivalent CAE platforms.
- Exposure to real industry simulation use cases is strongly preferred.
- Experience in correlating simulation results with engineering judgment, test data or design requirements will be valuable.
Mandatory / Preferred Certification
- Preferred: Dassault Systèmes SIMULIA / Abaqus / 3DEXPERIENCE Simulation certification.
- Additional certification in FEA, CFD, structural analysis, thermal analysis or product validation will be an advantage.
Key Skills
- Strong understanding of simulation fundamentals.
- Ability to simplify FEA/CFD concepts for students and early-career professionals.
- Good knowledge of engineering materials, loads, constraints and failure behaviour.
- Ability to troubleshoot simulation errors and guide learners through model correction.
- Strong result interpretation and design recommendation skills.
- Ability to deliver training aligned with commercial consulting outcomes.
Expected Outcomes The trainer should enable learners to build basic-to-intermediate simulation models, interpret simulation results, validate product behaviour and recommend design improvements using simulation-led decision-making.
